Hi Folks,
I'm wanting to plant about 500 pecan nuts. Is it too late for this year
('98) or do I still have time? I do not have a source for the nuts as of
yet but am confident that I can find them around here at Pensacola, Florida.
This statement brings up another thought, are the nuts still viable for
planting assuming they have been keep in a garage (let's say). If so, do
the nuts require stratification, prayer, and or both. How far apart should
I plant them if I do not plan to dig them for 2 years? Any thoughts would
be appreciated. Also, is there a rather definitive source for pecans that
would answer all of my questions and then some.
Thanks for your info.
