I have been reading where people are starting delphinium seeds in
papertowels. I have tried this unsuccessfully and found it alot of
work. This is my second year starting delph seeds and they germinate
fine for me in a peat mix in those one by two plastic greenhouses.
They are watered in with hot water, then are placed on a shelf above
a baseboard heater in a small room where the temps stay around 20°C
until they sprout. (This year they are starting one week after
sowing). They are then moved to a cooler larger room and set under
flourescent lights!
