Diana,
Sorry to hear of the break in and theft of your books. I would echo
Art's remarks about Bibliofind. We've found some pretty esoteric books
we needed for research that we couldn't get through library interloan.
The dealers have all been prompt with replies and shipping.
Descriptions of condition have been fairly represented.
Another good source for out of print/used in print books is Powell's
http:/www.powells.com. They list their used books alongside the new
ones. Powell's has a huge selection of in-stock gardening books. If you
are concerned about the condition of a used book, they will pull the
book, look at it and describe it to you on the phone.
