Kristal: Is S. glutinosa a botanical synonym for S. tilifolia, ('Chia') or
a different species? This is consumed by the Tarahumara Amerindians, who
believe that it provides energy for their long-distance running. If it
does, how does it? Other Salvia seeds have glutinous properties also. Are
they energisers too? I'm interested, because my daughter is a marathon
runner, and I'm trying to find out more about this for her.
I look forward to your reply. Envirocordial greetings
Geoff
