Hi there !
I have tried to germinate Cycads (3 "seeds") but failed.
I used ordinary soil in ordinary pot (8-10 cm), temp 23-25 C,
plastic cover, all according to Th & Morgans advices.
One seed showed a green tip in a week, then stopped, and when
I examined the soil I found that the endosperm (the white stuff)
had become very soft and the germ had lost contact.
The second seed disappered completly in two-three weeks.
The third (the biggest - about 2,5 cm dia) i still hard, but something
is loose inside.
- How long time is normal?
- Should I do something when the germination has started?
- Is the Cycads difficult to grow?
- Best care of the juvenil plant and later?
I need some good advices..
