I have no trouble saving seeds from any of my poppies. They all come true
from seed, never cross. I grow several different varieties mixed together
in a bed. I mark the ones I want, collect the seeds and always get what I
want.

Columbine doesn't cross in my yard. Again, I just collect the seed and
resow it or leave it to reseed by itself. Nylon "tulle" isn't necessary to
protect the seed from cross pollination.
