Hi There,
When we first moved to this house some 15 years ago we had a sapling Robinia
in the garden some 15 feet from the house. After 7 years it was as tall as
the house and growing rapidly so my son and I chopped it down and used a
proprietary woodkiller on the remains of the trunk.
For two years following this both my neighbour and myself kept digging up
suckers growing from the roots of the tree, some of these over 20 feet away
from the site of the trunk. On the basis of this experience propagation from
suckers should be relatively easy.
