Need Help Identifying Lamiums and Monardas

Hello.

I think that I will never understand the hows and whys of establishing
permanent writing on affordable plant labels, or of nurseries that
provide to supermarkets.

Thus, I'm left with some questions about how to distinguish the three
different more unusual Monardas carried by Yucca-Do Nursery until
recently. (M. barlettii, M. pringlei, and one other sp.)
The growth has been seemingly erratic and I don't think height will be a
helpful criteria, incidentally.

I'm also having questions about how to conclusively distinguish Lamium
"Pink Pewter" from "Shell Pink".

And of course, not being a botanist, some non-technical expressions
would be helpful. Even a description of one of these Monardas as "orchid
colored" has proved considerably perplexing.

Many, many thanks.
