Hi Joanne... I have used heating pads when I have run short of space on my
regular heating mats in the greenhouse. I lay newspaper down, quarter inch
thick for the base. I then lay my heating pad(s) down on the base, covering
them with a sheet of heavy plastic. Now you can place your seed pans on the
heating pads, I always turn them down on low, never any higher, and cover
the pans with a humidity dome or clear plastic...have had no problems with
the pads, but I have never gotten them wet either. Hope this helps you...Cyn
