For weeks I have admired a beautiful Cotoneaster on my way home from work.
It looked like a Japanese Barbary at first, but last night, I finally got
up the guts to park my car and walk past.....it was a Cotoneaster, but of a
burgundy hue. Any ideas what variety it would be? Anyway, I don't know
what came over me, but I snatched a few seeds....must have been
"Cotoneaster envy".
My question....do "fruit-type" seeds (ie ones with a pulpy cover) need any
special treatment? I have also some seeds from a beautiful burning bush at
the Church nearby (oh goodness, I better go to confession, eh? :0) and am
not sure if there are any special things I need to do (besides stratification)
Can anyone help?
(but please, don't turn me in.....I am getting such a sick thrill out of
these little raids', he hem....)
:0)
