RE: Cleome seeds

Nan, Cleome self seeds extensively in my garden. However, since the
seedlings are from hybrid parents (Cleome 'Rose Queen') they are inferior to
the original plants. Much smaller and less vigorous. But overall they
don't look bad. The seed pods twist up as they dry and when ripe the pod
unwinds like a spring, throwing seed all around. So I think you could
sprinkle seed on top of the soil like now and have sprouts next spring.

Can anyone give me any pointers on germinating cleome? Time of year?
Medium? Conditions?

Thanks

Nan
