Reply to the dome problem on REX BEGONIA seedlings
======================
Paul says to leave the dome off. Margaret says to leave the
dome on
The seedlings are quite sensitive to moisture in the air.
After removing the dome for a day the leaves started to dry
off.
Upon replacement of the dome the leaves look fine.
We have lifted those seedling which have fungus or excess
slime on top of the media.
We replaced the sterile soil and replanted.
After a day the replant look better
We increased the light to 2 x 25 watt high output bulbs with
reflectors (=2x100=200 watt incandescent) close to the dome.
There is very little excess heat generated fromt these bulbs
(a raise of temperature in the dome of about 5F).

Joel
