> USDA Zone 8, Sunset Zone 5

In regard to your signature....I had a customer tell me recently that
the new Sunset Book has "rezoned" us from Zone 8 to Zone 3(?).
Personally, I don't approve of this. I think that beginning gardeners
will be terribly confused by the USDA, "Old" Sunset Zone and the "NEW"
Sunset Zone. And even established, knowledgable gardeners shouldn't
have to be put off by "what zone, in what book, by what publisher, is
this hardy to?". I think that this is an absurd idea and I don't
understand what is to be gained by it, beyond making it necessary to
purchase an UPDATED version of their book.
In a nutshell...."Phffft!"
