My favorite equipment is a collection of absolutely clear plastic sweater
boxes
purchased from California Closet Co. I use perlite or promix/perlite layers
to about 3" in bottom, dampen enough to cause condensation, not puddles, and
strike cuttings, using rootone, into the boxes. They go up under fluorescent
lights with the box lids being 2" from the lights, max. They stay in there
until roots can be seen on bottom of boxes, then are potted up and removed to
humid growing conditions again under lights but with loosely draped clear
plastic over the lights to hold in humidity. They are watered from bottom,
being set in trays without drainage holes. Joanne
