Regarding Don Martinson's questions re: poppies:
I transplant full-grown plants in the early spring, by dividing the clumps. I
have no trouble & they usually bloom that year. I have also grown them from
seed, with success & have had no misshapen blooms, etc. As far as "true from
seed", seed from Orange Oriental Poppies has yielded orange oriental poppies.
However, mixed seed, from different color varieties, is obviously going to vary
according to parentage.
