Digitalis-Hollyhock

Digitalis and Hollyhock drop hundred's of seeds yet we only get several
plants the following year. Would we be better off saving the seeds and
and starting the seeds indoors in pots the following spring. Would this
delays the flowering of the plants by a year?
Can you get flowers the following year if you start the seeds really
early indoors.
