Hello Seed List,
OK, I went to the nursury and got a boat load of various bulbs for
fall planting. My choices included a dwarf iris (Iris reticulata), a giant
Allium, Grape Hyacinth, Amarylis belladona, spider lilies, Paperwhites,
striped
squill and crocuses. I asked about fertilizing these plants and the people at
the nursery for recommendation and was given a brand "Dutch Bulb Booster"
which
was a 9-9-6. I asked about organic and the answer I got was the only organic
for bulbs was bone meal (0-10-0) which did not provide any additional
essential
elements. What do I do for feeding bulbs and bulb plants as I am just (within
next month or two) beginning to plant? Next, what additional recommendations
and suggestions can everyone offer regarding the planting and care and
nurturing
of these various bulb plants as we enter the fall. (It doesn't feel like fall
here in Houston as the highs for this week are suppose to be in the mid 90's.
Remember I am in zone 9a Texas Gulf Coast (Houston TX)
