Heathres are easily propagated by taking semi-ripe hell cuttings from
non-flowering shoots between June and October. Cuttings need be only
1-1.25 inchs in length. Remove the lower leaves and place in pots or
trays in a 50:50 lime-free copost and perlite. Cover the container with
plastic film to maintain humidity until cuttings have rooted, and place
in a cold frame or shady part of the greenhouse. Roooting usually takes
between 6 to 10 weeks depending on local conditions and time of the
year.
