Papaver? Really? How? I snivelled around until I obtained a hard to
find papaver species and am quite unsure how or when to proceed with the
seed.
I've grown Papaver at the nursery and don't do a good job of it. I
planted them in Sunshine Mix #1, which is high peat content, and I've
placed them on sand beds to assist in watering. Everytime the leaves
begin to amount to anything, they turn black at the edges and crisp up
and die back. Every flower bud has filled out, and suddenly will flop
over on a rotted stem. What am I doing so wrong? I'm afraid to waste
my seed until I figure out the situation here.
