Re: Phaseolus

I am ashamed to admit but I am a bookaholic. I have more garden books than I
should. Even after weeding them out about a month ago, I still have 7
shelves worth. About 2 shelves are reading books, 2 shelves are general
gardening books, 2 shelves are books on specific subjects, (annuals, roses,
shrubs, etc) and the last shelf is seed starting and landscaping. The
weeding out was getting rid of all the coffee table types, which I had
bought because of the nice photos, but once read, have never been opened
again.
The best general reference book I have for plants is the Royal Horticultural
Society A-Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants, the other ones that I consulted
this morning were REaders Digest Encyclopedia of garden plants and flowers,
the National Gardening Association's Dictionary of Horticulture, and the
wise Garden encyclopedia and last but not least "From Seed to Bloom". I
probably could have found more, but none of these were yeilding much
infomation.
So, if the answer can be found in a book, I have probably got the answer.
That is too much of a generalization, I don't have much on trees, house
plants or tropicals.
I love books about as much as I love to garden and the combination is
irresistable.
My current phase is collecting old gardening books
So to the list readers at large, if my books can help ask away.
