Tim,
We grow caracalla bean here in PA6, and overwinter it in the greenhouse.
The first year from seed we got a few flowers late in the season, and had
to dig up the plant and move it indoors before they matured. But they
continued to mature and we got several nice seeds that germinated readily
for us.
This year the mother plant was planted outside after danger of frost and
she is now covered with lovely fragrant flowers.
We will dig it up again, and trim it back to fit indoors.
The vine has gotten quite woody this year.
