Re: Cypress Vine (Ipomoea quamoclit)

Jason:
I plant both cypress vine and cardinal climber. The cypress vines do not
like to be transplanted so you can just put them now where you want them to
come up next year. They reseed like mad here in our zone 6. The cardinal
climber is very easy to start. I usually put them in potting medium about a
month before the last frost and they are already ready to be transplanted in
place in your garden by the time they are about a foot tall. They are both
really beautiful, both grow in full sun to part shade and I usually collect
the seeds at any time I see a dried pod on the vine. Hope this helps.
