Last winter I bought a small bag of bread poppy seeds at a local mill,
also at quite a reasonable price. I did not know whether the seeds
were still viable but planted some to find out in early spring. They
sprouted and grew very well. Unfortunately I was away from home
during July when they bloomed, so I don't know what color they were,
but I have saved some seeds and I am also sure that they have self-
seeded, so I am looking forward to seeing their color next summer.
