Frances, it is "Dipsacaceae" Cephalaria, from what little info I have is a
Genus of about 65 species both annuals and perennials native to Europe,
Africa and Central Asia. Syn. = Scabiosa! Usually pale yellow.
Grow in fertile, moist, well-drained soil in sun
or partial shade. Sow seed in containers in cold frame
in early spring. Divide in early or midspring.
I couldn't find anything about
the leucantha specifically, sorry. But since leucanthus means with white
flowers.... Good
luck!
