I have Cephalaria growing in my garden. It is a course perennial plant with
deeply toothed leaves, grows in a large clump and reaches 5' tall or more. The
flowers are white on long wiry stems and can be dried and used in everlasting
floral arrangements.
It reseeds itself easily around the garden, so I'd think it is easy to
germinate. I'd barely cover seeds, as they may need light to germinate. You
might want to try sowing some in your garden now or wait until spring. Mine
are in seed now, and are busy self sowing again. I take the extras to plant swaps.
