Transplanting fig and grape starts

Nan,

I think now would be a good time to transplant, at least it is here
in Ohio. Early this spring I planted some cuttings in pots filled
with vermiculite. After the cuttings sent out a few (3-5) leaves in
early summer I repotted into soil and was happy to see quite
impressive root systems. My plants will stay in their pots because I
am taking them with me when I move next year, but otherwise I would
have planted them in their permanent spots now or next spring.

Hope this helps.
