Sorry to hear that you hate hosta. These are not original ideas: How about
donating them to the arboretum or put a sign out "Free hosta for the digging"
or donate them to the city park system to beautify some parks or donate them
to a senior citizen home/unpreviliaged home for their gardens or a
handicapped gardeners club.... The ideas are unending besides the compost
pile.
