Penny...think the heather is a great idea. I was thinking ivy and
then just how much maintenance that would be once it took off.
Heathers would only need an annual trimming and there are several
that either change color in winter or bloom then...neat idea!

How about lavender, candytuft (iberis?), or if you soil is on the
acidic side, some heaths or heathers. I grow vinca, but in a spot
thats shady once the leaves come out. Haven't tried it in full sun
situation.
