Re: Battle of the fertilizers???
Joe
I'm as confused about the fertilizer as the next, but I don't think the
12-12-12 being the same in all fertilizer is the important thing here. the
way I understand it, it is combination. such as the first # is nitrogen -
the 2nd # is phosphate and the 3rd # is potassum. and I think the important
thing here is the amount of each is suppose to give you plant what it needs.
miracle grow, I've used it for years and I've never seen it perform a miracle
for me. It's ok, but not a miracle by any means.
osmocote, this is my first year for it, so don't know yet, also this is my
first year for using fish emulation, I think I might like it.
another thing, I read on the Brugmansia web page, it is recommeded that you
use Ironite for them, so I've got to pick up some of this, wonder if it's
good for other plants...............
I usually buy most of my fertilizer at Wal-Marts if they stock it, but the
fish emulation I picked up at Lowe's. Lowe's was recommended for the
ironite, but I'll check out my local Wal-Mart first.........
I really think the secret to this whole problem is combination, combination,
combination. you have to know what your plant needs first., then get the
combination that is most suited to the plant..
does this make a lot of sense ? I hope so
