Re: Primula x kewensis
Hello Sjef,
I am not familiar with you P. x kewensis, but did look it up in Richards
Primula. According to him you plant is a hybrid from plants grown at Kew. has a
lineage of P. simensis. If it grew in England would it not grow for you as well in
your garden?
You may want to take this one up on the Primula Mailing List. go to

Subject: [SG] Primula x kewensis
Hello,
My name is Sjef Pistoor, I live in Holland (Europe) and I like growing primroses
and primulas in my garden as well in pots. I just got some specimen of the yellow
Primula x kewensis, a not hardy species. There are some things I don't know about
this plant, for instance the right pottingmix and where to place it in winter. We
do have frost in Holland from December until March.
Is there someone who can offerme the right answers?
Thanks so much.
Sjef.
