If you buy everything in a one gallon container, or even a five
gallon one, then everything will look spotty - everything will be
more or less the same size.
Look around to see where you can buy some full-grown rhododendrons
(or other shrubs, but big rhodos move easily). Gardens become
overcrowded and big plants get dug out and sold. I have seen them for
sale at rhodo club sales, other club sales, listed in the want ads,
or even at fairly big nurseries (one famous rhodo nursery on the
Olympic Peninsula in Washington redid their acres of display gardens,
and sold off enormous rhodos.)
