One can cook with the fruit from the flowering quince but it not the true
quince by any means. Depends which is more important- fruit or flower. Try
Ch. alpina- a smaller growing species. Don't forget, they can spread when
happy. I think that they are an excellent 3- seasons of interest and drought
hardy genus. Good luck.
