Savoris?????

HI All,

If the experts on this list don't know the answer to this question then there
may not be an answer.  So here goes.  My mother in law called me to day to
say that she is reading a book set in Southeastern, KY and the author refers
to a blooming shrub called savoris.  It blooms along with the dogwoods and
the redbuds.  Looked in my woody plants of OH and my Dirr and could not find
anything.  I am guessing it is laurel that we are talking about but that is
just a guess.  Has anyone heard of savoris?  Any thoughts on this subject
would be greatly appreciated.
