The Archives on Hort Net are unofficial for sure. The official St Johns
archives are at the URL I gave earlier. Those are going to be the most
complete, I would think.

Aw Jim, The Hort-net archives are in date, subject or author order as you
wish with a search tool added. I have never waded through St. John's
archives as there is no person of record to question. For those of you who
have instant service this might be an option but for the rest of us, the
Hort-Net Archives are exactly the same but waaaaaaay easier to use.
The Hort-Net site is user friendly and the list owner is helpful. What more
could one ask for?
On maillists these days if a question is asked, as Margaret may have gone on
with and expanded, there is always someone who takes issue with the answer.
I believe this is the reason that fewer and fewer postings are made when more
contributions could make discussions of more value to list members.
Writing posts to prove you are right or showing posters to be less than
brilliant or helping posters to understand that they have horticultural
problems not worthy of posting will eventually shrink lists to two or three
dispensers of information and no listeners.
