Re: Archives

Well, ya' got me, Bob, as I am not a programmer, but I know it has to
be able to be done because he hosts archives for a whole bunch of
lists that he does not host as listowner.

He's also set up a photo list for Garden Writers List (a list he does
not host) where anybody on the list can email a photo and it somehow,
automagically, gets put up on the web and a notice sent to the list
so everybody can go see it if they want - saves people trying to send
attachments, etc.

And, he's also put together an alternate list for AHS list, which is
always getting held, that anybody on AHS list can post to and he
keeps the listmembers current - all automagically - and when AHS list
comes back to life, all the messages to the alt. list are redirected
to AHS list. It's been a real lifesaver as otherwise days can go by
when nothing happens as the list is held, which gets people really
antsy.

Programmers can do all kinds of neat and useful stuff:-)

You ought to email him and chat about it...he'll tell you how it's
done, etc.
