Bill have you had a pH test done of your soil, I can't grow great blood root
my self in my native clay-muck soils. They live for two or three years and
then die-but they do self seed around so I do have a clump or two every year.
This year I am going to move my clumps to a raised bed with more artificial
soil and hope for better results.
