Hi,
This is the first time in four years that I was finally able to see the
crocus bloom.
As soon as they started to emerge from the ground I ran out and
sprinkled the
blood meal around them and it WORKED!!! For sure I will be using blood
meal
every spring.
When I bought 3 different lilac bushes 4 years ago they all had blooms
on them. Since
I planted them at my house I have not seen a bloom what so ever. I
finally realized last
spring that it was the deer eating the buds off before they had a chance
to bloom. So I just went out and sprayed all 3 lilacs with Bobbex, so
maybe I'll even get to see my lilacs bloom this year. Once the bushes
get tall enough then I won't have to spray them
anymore. Bobbex is a plant stimulate that is suppose to have an added
bonus, it
keeps deer away. A few people on the AHS Listserve recommended Bobbex
so I thought it was worth a try.
Bye, Vicky Cahanes, New Richmond WI zone 4
