daer Sue,
Hi from NJ and welcome to the robin. A few cents of advise on hosta if I may.
How lucky to be so close to a major supplier of tissue culture hosta but why
tissue culture?
As someone starting to think about adding hosta to his or her garden why not
think about some of the old tried and true varities. You can usually pick them
up at most
larger garden centers or maybe speciality nurserys nearby. When buying the
older varities you will be paying about half if not less than you would for a
newer variety and will get a much larger plant. I do not believe that we must
all run and buy the latest because it may in the long run not be the greatest.
Krossa Regal, Bressingham Blue, August Moon, Piedmont Gold thesse are all
under $10.00 and have proven themselves to be extremely garden worthy plants.
Oh well just my 2 cents worth. Best of luck, and welcome to the robin.
