Nancy,

The Blue Lyme is aggressive - spreads via underground roots or
stolens.  Think it is possibly more aggressive in loose, sandy soils,
although mine moves quite enough in amended clay.  I yank straying
bits out annually, but would not be without it.  Could be yours
hasn't been in place long enough to move out?  It can travel some
distance underground and then pop up where you least expect it...just
keep an eye on it and enjoy; few grasses can beat the lovely glaucous
blue leaves on this one.  Mine has never flowered...am not sure it
does???
