Nancy,
Panicum 'Prairie Sky' is one of my favorite grasses. It gives such a cooling
affect in the garden. Just now in Georgia it is really getting pretty with
it's inflorence swishing in the breeze. I just finished a job around a
swimming pool using it along with Miscanthus 'Cabaret'(my favorite
variegated grass), Miscanthus 'Adagio' (dwarf to 3') and various perennials.
The client was just tickled after the area was planted but like most non
gardeners, they think pampas when you mention ornamental grasses. I grow
several grasses but these 3 are some of my favorites.
