IMO, boxelder bugs make nice pets, they're pretty dumb :-) They
actually won't hurt your plant, they just congregate for company when
young and like plants with big leaves as it provides them with
protection from whatever predators they have. I think a really hard
squirt from the hose would disperse them if they are getting on your
nerves. In the nymph stage, probably Safers or hort. oil would do
them in, if you're feeling bloodthirsty.

Hello,
Does anyone have any idea of how I can rid my Brunnera macrophylla of
boxelder bug nymphs? We always have boxelder bugs but it has never
been a problem in our gardens. Is this just a quirk or should we be
checking all of our plants?
