malva 'Barnsley' and Kousa 'Wolf's Eyes'

Dear All,
I have a friend who is looking for a source for Malva 'Barnsley' and was
wondering if anyone is familiar with it and would know where one might find
it.

Also, I'm having problems with my Kousa 'Wolf's Eyes' this summer.  I bought
it last summer around the end of June, planted it in a site that I thought
would be ideal and it seemed happy.  This spring it bloomed and looked great,
then the deer got to it and ate off about 2/3 of the leaves.  Then it seemed
okay, although ugly, until it got really hot and at first I thought the
remaining leaves were burning because there were so few left.  Now the leaves
left are completely brown, but the stems still look green.  Do you think it's
the site and something to do with the soil or what?  If anyone is growing
this perhaps you could tell me if you think it's touchy or challenging.  I am
growing three other kousas and have not had any problems with them.  Thanks
for any suggestions you can offer.
