Re: malva 'Barnsley' and Kousa 'Wolf's Eyes'

Hello Kay,
When I purchased my Wolf's Eye dogwood last year I was told in no
uncertain terms to keep it in shade and out of prevailing winds. I have mine
up on the hillside to the rear of my existing garden. I receives only
indirect light, no drying winds and is in pretty decent soil. I was told the
tree was sensitive and would react almost instantly if not happy. I did go
up on the hillside and water mine this summer during drought. I have not
seen a brown leaf on mine thus far this year (knock, knock). Incidentally,
it is pretty much the same story with the Redbud cultivar 'Silver Cloud'.
