<< I am a newbie this year, so bear with me. When is the proper time to
harvest seeds? Are the centers of purple coneflowers, black-eyed susans,
shasta daisies, and blanket flower seeds to be harvested? When should they
be harvested? What do I do with them after that? As you can see, I don't
'no nuthing' ;-)

Pottsey,
If you want more of those plants you can just leave them to self seed, they
will quickly take over. Also, if you leave them, the goldfinches will have
food. If you don't want them everywhere, deadhead them now because they are
starting to ripen and you could collect any seed you want.
