[SG] Homemade Stepping Stones

Re Forrest Johnson's comments, I bought one such stepping stone from a
nursery during the Peoria hosta convention. It weighed a ton and cost a
bundle, but I carried it home. Luckily, I never dropped it on my foot, or
anyone else's, but I came close! My stepping stone has attracted a lot of
favorable attention in my yard since I brought it back. It is round and
has a group of medium-sized, heart shaped hosta leaves ('Pearl Lake'?)
artistically imprinted in the concrete. The maker obviously pressed the
back sides of the leaves rather than the front sides, as the veins are
quite prominent. I suspected at the time that such stepping stones are
cheap and relatively easy to make. What I wanted to stress, for those who
have not seen these, is how attractive they are. It would be a good
money-making project for a garden club, I suspect.
