questions

Dear All,
I have some questions that have been plaguing me. If you can answer any, I
would appreciate it. Thanks.

1. Is it safe or foolhardy to put the leaves from crown rot stricken hostas
in a compost pile?

2. Can houttonia be gotten rid of with Roundup?

3. If I have crown vetch (? spelling) growing rampantly with Blue Rug
junipers and some euphorbias, is there any way to get rid of it? Will
Roundup kill or harm the juniper? I'm not as worried about the euphorbia, it
seems as invasive as the crown vetch.

4. Due to the drought, my magnolia 'Elizabeth' has completely defoliated.
It seems to have green, buds. I have had it about 4-5 years and it is 15 or
so feet tall. Is there a chance it will come back next year, or should I
start looking for something to take its place?

5. Does anyone know of a mail order nursery that sells Cercis 'Silver
Cloud,' the variegated redbud? Is it questionably hardy beyond zone 6, like
Forest Pansy?
