hydrangea question
Hi, all, hope eveeryone is enjoying the end of summer gardening....I have not been
able to garden at all at my new house, since I have to get some beds dug, which I
cannot do, and have been on crutches all summer, anyway, so the garden is still in my
mind......
but I do have a question....this actually came from the people who bought my old
house. I had a wonderful hydrangea, in a mostly shady spot, which it seemed to be
very happy in.... but the people who moved in sent me an email and asked me what to
do with it, since it apparently has bent way over and the boughs kind of collapsed to
the ground..... any idea why this might have happened? It never happened to me
before, I was wondering if it could have anything to do with the water
situation.....We have had almost NO rain this summer, and the few times that it
rained, it just poured for a while, and then that was it.....anyway, I was wondering
if anyone might have an idea of what is happening, and why, and what to do about
it........thanks.
