I'm sure there are lots of kinds of boxwood that won't grow here, but I have
had a Buxux microphylla 'Wintergreen' for maybe 4 or 5 years now.  I've seen
other cultivars of this boxwood sold at nurseries in the area too.  Mine is
growing in the dappled shade of a crabapple with direct sun for a few hours
in the morning.  It's very compact still, but maybe once a year I do snip off
the tips here and there.  It's quite small....only about 18" tall and wide.
