Hi Sahadegardeners:
I'm new on the list, but do I have shade...just moved to 3 acres of mostly
wooded with hickory, oak & ash. For many years gardening sun/shade
veggies/perennials/dwarf ericaceous, whatever. Had to move as my former 1/2
acre had no room left to plant. After a business career of 40 years, retired
& opened a design/install perennial garden biz. Closed when I moved 65 miles
away.
Two comments:
(1) I believe Ilex crenata is Japanese Holly & Ilex glabra is the native
Inkberry holly. According to Dirr there is a "Compacta" in both species of
cenata & glabra.
(2) I have a question. In having a need for some vines(no ivy), what's your
experience with tge golden hops vine? Does. it work in partial shade? Growth
characteristics/control?
