It's been a very strange Fall-Winter transition here, too. Don't ever
remember one like this, but maybe it happened and I wasn't cognizant. Seems
like quite suddenly we went from a brief Indian Summer to Winter. Period.
Hasn't looked back since, and leaves on most of the trees and bushes "freeze
dried" right on the branches. Had a big snow last week that, when done,
knocked a lot of these leaves down, so then we had Fall on top of Winter.
Looks like my helebore froze under a crust of snow--am I supposed to do
something?? Personally, I haven't recovered from this inhospital approach
of cold weather and have avoided putting lights out for Christmas, even
though I love them....But I'm still happy--inside!
Have a great holiday, ya'll!
